PRODA – an acronym for Provider Digital Access. Is an online tool allowing secure access to services including HPOS and NDIS.
Simply put, this is where you access online services including Medicare, HPOS, AIR (immunisation Register), DVA among others.
There is a thorough 2 step verification process each time you log on, but with it being online, there is no software to manage, and it is transportable – all you need is an internet connection.
Delegating Access – if you use an outsourced medical billing provider (such as First MBS), you are able to delegate your access to the your billing provider. We can then search Medicare for things such as missing or incorrect medicare numbers (which happens quite often). By delegating this access, it ensures a smoother claims process resulting in your claims are paid more promptly without any extra burden on the Doctor.
